Cipher Five ("Cipher Five," "we," "us," or "our") operates the cipherfive.app website and the Cipher Five mobile application made available for iOS and Android (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal information when you use our Services.

This Privacy Policy is designed for a general audience / teens+ product. Cipher Five is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should review this Privacy Policy with a parent or legal guardian before using the Services.

By using the Services, creating an account, signing in through Apple or Google, or otherwise interacting with Cipher Five, you acknowledge that your personal information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy.

  • the Cipher Five mobile app;
  • the Cipher Five website;
  • support, contact, and account-management communications;
  • in-app gameplay, leaderboards, rooms, challenges, profiles, and related features; and

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, or apps that are not controlled by us, even if they are linked from or integrated with the Services. Those third parties have their own terms and privacy policies.

  • information returned by Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, or other supported authentication providers;

  • friends, invites, challenge requests, and social interactions that you create through the Services;

  • IP address, device identifiers, installation identifiers, advertising identifiers where permitted, app version, operating system, device type, language, region, diagnostic data, and approximate location inferred from network information;
  • logs, session information, clickstream information, screen views, feature usage, referral information, and crash reports.

D. Purchase and monetization information

  • transaction status, entitlement records, subscription or premium status, and store-related identifiers where paid features, purchases, or rewards are offered;

8. Leaderboards, Public Features, and Social Visibility

Please do not use sensitive personal information in usernames, avatars, bios, room names, or other user-facing content. Information you choose to make public or visible to others may remain visible to those users even after it is removed from the live service, for example in screenshots or cached views outside our control.

9. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain accounts, preserve gameplay records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, comply with law, and maintain appropriate business and security records.

When an account deletion request is completed:

  • access to the deleted account may end permanently;

  • some public or social information may persist in de-identified, aggregated, or historical form where needed for service integrity.

You can also manage certain settings through your device, platform account, ad settings, browser controls, or app permissions.
